A representative of Specialty Products & Insulation Co. reports that it has removed the lien it filed earlier this month on Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom.
The company supplied $3,984.87 worth of materials for construction work at the castle for which it says it was never paid, apparently by another contractor on the job.
"The customer did come in and resolved the issue," said Maude Johnson, a sales service representative for Sp's Orlando branch. "It has been paid and I filed a satisfaction of lien today."
While construction liens are common in the building world -- even at Walt Disney World -- the lien filed Feb. 1 on the castle turned heads.
The castle is being touted right by Disney as the signature prize in its "Year of a Million Dreams" campaign. As part of the marketing campaign, Disney randomly selects one family each day to spend the night in a newly refurbished suite in the castle.
