It is operated by Walt Disney Entertainment who are responsible for the entertainment offerings on the Disney Cruise Line as well as at four Disney resorts around the globe: Disneyland Anaheim, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disney Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland - just not Disneyland Resort Paris, which runs its own entertainment division with their own casting procedure. On DisneyAuditions.com Walt Disney Entertainment keeps interested entertainment professionals informed about its global auditions, which are not only held on-site at the four resorts but wherever a larger number of professionals can be found. Frequent stops on the worldwide audtion tours include Australia, London (UK) as well as Hamburg and Düsseldorf (both in Germany).
So what is in the offerings right now? If you are interested in working in Tokyo you could join the cast of several ongoing productions including (to name just a few) One Man’s Dream II, Mystic Rhythms, Big Band Beat or Minnie Oh! Minnie … or what about becoming a really big star for all the guests? You could become Ariel in “Under the Sea” (acrobatic skills needed) or right now even more popular … you could become the resort’s next Jack Sparrow!!
Admittedly none of the other resorts have currently such high profile offerings, but Hong Kong is looking for character performers and musicians, while Disneyland Anaheim is looking for the next New Orleans Square “Queenie” as well as for new acapella vocal artists to become the Dapper Dans, performers for its high energy Block Party Bash at DCA as well as for the more traditional Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams and its long time favourite Fantasmic.
Walt Disney World in the meantime is also looking for new Dapper Dans as well as the Princesses for the Princess Tea Party and performers for the Festival of the Lion King. But maybe most surprising just weeks after its official opening WDW is also already scouting future replacements for the current cast of “FINDING NEMO, the musical” at Animal Kingdom!
